My newest book is finally out. It is called Lifeline and it is the second most difficult book I ever wrote, the most difficult being Identity Crisis which took me five years to write.
Lifeline was a book I started in late 2023 as soon as I finished writing The Last Healer. I worked on it for a while but realized the story was not big enough for a full book so I put it aside and wrote Falling Star. Three more times I tried to write the book but each time I gave up. Finally, on the fifth try, I was able to push through to the end.
At some point, I don’t remember exactly when, I decided it needed to be two books in one. The first part was the mystery. I think the description on the back cover explains it best.
James and Mary have loved each other across ninety-nine lifetimes. Each time, they find one another, live, love, and die, only to repeat the cycle as different people in different parts of the world. Each life begins on the same date and never lasts past their eighty-second year.
Never during their many lifetimes have they found a shred of evidence for what has been happening to them, but now, on their hundredth life together, something is different. A mysterious entity has spoken to them, warning them to prepare for what’s coming. Their next life will be unlike any before, and it could end before it begins.

The second half of the book is about what happens to James and Mary after the mystery is revealed. I don’t want to reveal too much about the second half so as not to give away the first half.
I believe the end result was worth the effort, and I hope you do too.
